Water Spray Endurance Test

The WSET is designed to simulate aircraft exposure to freezing fog when the temperature is below 0°C. It allows determining the indoor anti-icing endurance time of aircraft de/anti-icing fluids according to AS5901. This test is performed in a three-meter-high climate chamber at an air temperature of -5°C. Hydraulic atomizing spray nozzles generate a spray of water droplets 23 µm in median volume diameter.

High Humidity Endurance Test

The HHET is designed to simulate the overnight exposure of an aircraft to light frost. It allows determining the indoor anti-icing endurance time of de/anti-icing fluids according to AS5901. This test is performed in a three-meter-high climate chamber at an air temperature of 0°C and relative humidity over 80% RH.
